GoChiHQ Driveway Rentals connects the two: owners earn monthly income from a spot they aren't using; renters get affordable parking in real neighbourhoods. Canada only — from the GTA and Kitchener–Waterloo–Cambridge to Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal.

2 · We match & introduce

GoChiHQ reviews the listing, then introduces vetted local renters — commuters, students, neighbours with a second car, visitors who'd rather skip the downtown lot.

3 · Get paid monthly

Agree the rental with your renter, and your spot starts earning. The GoChiHQ marketplace fee (below) applies only when a rental is booked through us — if nobody books, you pay nothing.

What it costs — the split, in the open

Listing is free. When a rental is booked through GoChiHQ, the split is fixed and published: the host receives 75% of each booking; GoChiHQ retains 25%. Platform service charges are covered within GoChiHQ's 25% share — nothing extra is charged on top of the split — and taxes are applied per Ontario law at booking time, shown before payment, never folded into the percentages. No booking, no fee, ever.

Owners are responsible for their own tax reporting on rental income and for checking local bylaws and, where relevant, condo/strata or landlord rules before renting a spot. Listing is free and commits you to nothing — you can withdraw a listing any time by email. Future paid bookings: the 25% GoChiHQ retains is the non-refundable advance-booking portion under our refunds policy; the host's 75% follows the refund rules. Phase-1 intake takes no money from anyone, so nothing is charged or withheld today. Rental cancellations once a booking is agreed follow the Refunds & cancellations page and the written terms agreed before the rental starts.

All driveway payments must go through GoChiHQ's official payment channels. Cash or off-platform arrangements are prohibited — they carry no platform protection, no records, no receipts, and they void the coverage of the signed agreement. Do not rent on a cash basis — pay only through GoChiHQ so your booking, your receipt, and your protection are on record. If anyone asks you to pay cash or "just deal directly," stop and email us — that request breaks the agreement you both signed.

This agreement is between the Host (the driveway/property owner or authorized occupant listing a parking spot, "you") and GoChiHQ (Ontario sole proprietorship, "GoChiHQ", "we"). It applies to every parking arrangement listed, introduced or booked through the GoChiHQ Driveway Rentals service.

1 · What GoChiHQ is — a listing/intake platform only

GoChiHQ operates a listing and introduction service for private parking spots. GoChiHQ is NOT a landlord, property manager, parking operator, insurer, or guarantor of any parking arrangement. Any rental is a private agreement between you and the renter; GoChiHQ does not own, control, inspect or supervise your property or any renter's vehicle, and makes no guarantee that a renter will be found, will pay, or will behave in any particular way.

2 · Host representations — your spot, your responsibility

By signing, you represent and agree that: (a) you own the property where the spot is located, or you otherwise have the legal right to rent out the spot (including any required consent from a landlord, condo corporation/strata, or co-owner); (b) your home/property insurance permits paid parking use of the spot, OR you knowingly accept the risk if it does not; (c) you are solely responsible for municipal bylaw compliance for your property, including any zoning, licensing or parking rules in your city; and (d) the spot you describe is described accurately, including access, size and availability.

3 · WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY THE LAWS OF ONTARIO, YOU RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE GoChiHQ — and its owner, operators, and agents — FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS AND DEMANDS FOR THEFT, DAMAGE, INJURY, DEATH, OR LOSS OF ANY KIND (including damage to vehicles or property) ARISING FROM OR CONNECTED WITH ANY RENTAL, LISTING OR INTRODUCTION ARRANGED THROUGH THE GoChiHQ DRIVEWAY RENTALS SERVICE, WHETHER CAUSED BY A RENTER, A THIRD PARTY, OR ANY OTHER CAUSE, except where such liability results from GoChiHQ's own gross negligence or wilful misconduct and cannot lawfully be released.

4 · INDEMNITY

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GoChiHQ from and against any third-party claims, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: your spot or property; any renter you accept; your breach of this agreement, of any law or bylaw, or of any third party's rights (including a landlord's or condo corporation's/strata's rules).

5 · ASSUMPTION OF RISK

You understand that renting a parking spot on your property to members of the public involves risks — including property damage, disputes, non-payment and unauthorized use — and you voluntarily assume those risks. You are encouraged to carry appropriate insurance, photograph your spot's condition, and put your own written terms in place with each renter before any rental begins.

6 · RENTER obligations (renters sign the same waiver at booking)

Renters who book through GoChiHQ must: maintain valid vehicle insurance as required by law; park only in the agreed spot and hours; take reasonable care of the host's property; and release and indemnify GoChiHQ on the same terms as clauses 3–5 above. No rental arranged through GoChiHQ begins until the renter has signed the waiver — a host should not hand over access before GoChiHQ confirms that step.

7 · ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE

Typing your full legal name in the signature field, checking the agreement box, and submitting with the date shown constitutes your electronic signature to this agreement, with the same effect as a handwritten signature, under Ontario's Electronic Commerce Act, 2000. GoChiHQ records the name, date and agreement version with your listing.

8 · FEES — THE 75 / 25 SPLIT, AND TAXES

When a rental is booked through GoChiHQ, the booking price is split as follows: the Host receives 75% of each booking and GoChiHQ retains 25%. GoChiHQ's 25% share covers its platform service charges — no separate platform fee is charged on top of the split. The 25% GoChiHQ retains is also the non-refundable advance-booking portion under the GoChiHQ refunds policy; the Host's 75% is subject to that policy's refund rules. Taxes are NOT folded into the percentages: applicable taxes are applied per Ontario law at booking time and shown before payment.

9 · NO CASH — OFFICIAL PAYMENT CHANNELS ONLY

NEVER RENT OR PAY ON A CASH BASIS. All driveway payments must go through GoChiHQ's official payment channels. Cash payments and off-platform arrangements between hosts and renters are prohibited: they carry no platform protection, no records or receipts, and any arrangement made outside GoChiHQ's official channels is NOT covered by this agreement — its waiver, records and protections do not apply to it. Do not rent on a cash basis: pay only through GoChiHQ so your booking, your receipt, and your protection are on record.

10 · GENERAL — Ontario law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If any clause is found unenforceable, the remaining clauses continue in full effect. GoChiHQ may update this agreement's version; rentals already underway keep the version in force when they were signed until renewed. Listing a spot does not create any employment, agency, partnership or landlord relationship between you and GoChiHQ.
